How to sell digital products from the UAE, Pakistan and Bangladesh
Published 8 October 2026
A digital product is a file somebody downloads the moment they pay for it. You make it once and sell it as many times as people want it, and nothing is ever shipped. This is what it takes to start from this part of the world, what it costs, and how the money reaches you.
Most guides to selling digital products stop at the encouraging part. This one is about the boring part, because that is what decides whether you get paid.
What you need to start
- A file you made yourself, or one you hold a licence to sell.
- A payxem.shop account. Every account starts as a buyer; you become a seller by signing the seller agreement.
- To be at least 18, with a Payxem account in your own name or your business name.
You can open a store from anywhere we can pay you, so this is not a UAE only marketplace. A seller in Karachi, Dhaka or Dubai goes through the same three steps.
Identity verification is needed before your first withdrawal, not before you list or sell, so sort it out early rather than on the day you want the money.
What it costs
Nothing to open a store, keep one open, or put a product up.
- No listing fee. Put up one product or twenty.
- No monthly fee and no subscription. A month with no sales costs you nothing.
- One commission of 9 percent plus 35 cents per sale, all in. The card processing cost comes out of our share instead of being added to yours.
Buyers pay the listed price and nothing else. No buyer fee is added at checkout.
Setting your price
You set your price in US dollars and that is what gets charged. The site can show a visitor roughly what it costs in their own currency, but that is a label, never the amount taken. Your seller dashboard shows the range available to your store.
A reference price shown with a line through it has to be one you genuinely sell at. A number invented to manufacture a discount gets removed.
How the money reaches you
This is where expectations and reality part company.
- A sale lands in your shop earnings balance, which your dashboard shows at any time.
- Each sale clears a 72 hour cool off first, so the refund window has closed before the money moves.
- Twice a month that balance moves into your Payxem wallet: the 1st to the 15th, and the 16th to month end, each transferred within 2 working days of the period closing.
- The minimum transfer is 10 dollars on your earnings after commission. Below that it rolls into the next one.
- From the wallet you withdraw as any Payxem user does. The wallet has its own minimum, higher than the 10 dollar transfer minimum.
The seller agreement is the authority on these numbers. If this post and that page disagree, that page is right.
What sells, and what to check first
This marketplace is built for the practical and the specific rather than another wall of generic templates. Spreadsheets and calculators, finance templates, guides for setting up, moving, applying or filing, planners, design packs, CV kits, study material.
The listings that do best are the ones only you could have written: the calculator with the local rules already in it, the guide by somebody who has actually filed the paperwork. Local knowledge is the advantage, not a limitation.
Every listing is read by a person before it appears. We wrote separately about what we check before a listing goes live, and reading it first saves you a round trip.
Two limits: a product file is capped at 25 MB, and every upload is fingerprinted, so a file another seller already sells is refused.
Common questions
Can I sell from Pakistan or Bangladesh?
Yes, from anywhere we can pay you, with a Payxem account in your own or your business name and a minimum age of 18.
Is there a monthly fee?
No monthly fee, no subscription, no listing fee. One commission of 9 percent plus 35 cents per sale, all in.
How soon can I get the money out?
Each sale clears 72 hours, then moves to your wallet in the next of the two monthly transfers. Verify your identity beforehand and it is ready to withdraw when it lands.
Do I need a trade licence to sell online?
That depends on where you live and what you sell, and it is a question for a qualified advisor in your own country rather than for us. What we require is in the seller agreement.
Can I sell the same file somewhere else?
Yes. You own your work and keep selling it anywhere you like. Opening a store here is not an exclusivity deal.
