Privacy policy
Last updated 7 September 2026
This covers payxem.shop, the marketplace. If you hold a Payxem account, the Payxem privacy policy covers that account, your wallet and your payouts.
The short version
- We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we set no cookies for browsing.
- Your cart and your saved items live on your own device and are never sent to us.
- When you buy, we keep the order record we need to deliver the file, handle refunds and defend a card dispute.
- Sellers see your name and what sold. Your email address is never given to them in full.
- We do not sell your personal data, to anyone, ever.
Who we are
payxem.shop is a marketplace for digital products, powered by Payxem Digital Portal, a Dubai mainland company licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai, UAE. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.
Independent sellers list their own products here. We are the venue and the payment layer, not the author of what is sold.
When you just browse
Browsing payxem.shop does not require an account, and we do not build a profile of you.
- No advertising trackers. There is no advertising pixel, no social media tracker and no third party analytics script on this site. Nothing here follows you to another website.
- No browsing cookies. We set no cookie for reading the site. When buyer sign in opens, signing in will set one session cookie so that you stay signed in, and that is the only cookie we plan to use.
- Server request records. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and like any web host it processes request level data such as your IP address, the page requested, your browser type, the time and the referring page. This keeps the site up, blocks abuse and rate limits attacks. We use it for security and aggregate traffic volume, not to identify you.
- Product view counts. We count how many times a listing has been viewed, as a single number on the product. It is not tied to you.
What stays on your device
Your cart and your saved items are held in your browser's local storage, under the keys px.cart.v1 and px.wish.v1. They are lists of product names, nothing more.
This data is never sent to our servers. We cannot see your cart, we cannot email you about it, and nobody at Payxem can tell what you have saved. It also means your cart does not follow you to another device, and clearing your browser's site data clears it. When buyer sign in opens, saving a cart to your account will be something you choose, not something that happens by default.
When you buy
A purchase creates an order record. Here is everything in it.
- Your email address, so we can send your receipt and your download link.
- Your Payxem account reference, if you bought while signed in.
- What you bought, the amount, the currency and the date.
- The payment reference from the payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your IP address and browser identifier at the time of purchase.
That last one deserves an explanation rather than a line in a list. Instant digital delivery has no signed delivery note, so a card dispute on a digital product comes down to whether we can show the purchase and the download actually happened. We record it for that reason, we keep it with the order rather than in any profile of you, and it is used to answer a dispute, not to target you.
Download records
Each download link is single use and short lived. When one is issued and when it is used, we log the time, the IP address and the browser identifier against the order.
This is what lets us reissue a link when yours expires, spot a link being passed around, and evidence delivery if a payment is disputed. These rows are kept as the delivery record for the order.
Reviews you write
Only a buyer who has paid for a product can review it. If you write one, we store your rating, your review text, the product and your account reference.
Your review is published with your first name and last initial, for example Aisha K. We shorten the name before we store it for display, so the full name is not sitting in the review record at all. Your email address is never published or shown to the seller.
A review is public. It appears on the product page and can be picked up by search engines. You can ask us to remove yours at any time, and a refunded purchase takes its review down automatically.
Email we send and email you send us
Automated mail, meaning your receipt, your download link and any sign in link, is sent from [email protected] and is not monitored. Everything a person needs to read goes to and comes from [email protected]. We use your address to run your order and to answer you, not to market to you.
If you write to support, we keep the message and our reply so that we have a record of what was agreed, particularly for refunds. Only tell us what is needed. We never need your full card number, your card PIN or your account password, and nobody from Payxem will ask you for them.
If you sell here
A seller store is tied to a Payxem account, so seller information, including identity verification and payout details, is collected and handled under the Payxem privacy policy.
On payxem.shop itself, what is public about a seller is the store name, the store address, the store description and the listings. Your personal account details are never shown on a public page.
Why we use it
- To take payment and deliver the file you bought.
- To send your receipt, your download link and any message about your order.
- To handle refund requests and answer support questions.
- To respond to card disputes and chargebacks with evidence of delivery.
- To prevent fraud, abuse of the refund process and unauthorised access to paid files.
- To keep the accounting and tax records we are required to keep.
- To keep the site working, secure and reasonably fast.
We do not use your purchase history to target advertising, and we do not send marketing email about the marketplace unless you ask for it.
What the seller sees about you
This is a short list on purpose, and it is the whole list. For each sale, the seller sees:
- Your name, as you gave it at checkout.
- The order reference.
- What you bought.
- The amount, and their own earnings on it.
- The date and time of the order.
Nothing else. Your email address is never given to a seller in full. Where it is shown to them at all, it is masked, in the shape ab*****x@g***.com, which is enough to match a support message to an order and not enough to contact you.
A seller does not get your IP address, your browser details, your payment details, your other purchases, your address or your phone number. We do not have most of that in the first place.
Two things sit outside this by your own choice. If you leave a review, the seller sees it as every visitor does, under your first name and last initial. And if you email a seller directly, they have your address from that moment, because you gave it to them rather than us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not rent, trade or hand over your data for anyone's advertising.
- We do not build advertising profiles or run behavioural tracking.
- We do not read your cart, because it never leaves your device.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you bought something.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records, up to 5 years after the order, to meet financial, tax and audit obligations. This matches the retention period in the Payxem privacy policy.
- Download logs, kept with the order as its delivery record, for the same period.
- Reviews, for as long as the product is listed, or until you ask us to remove yours.
- Support email, up to 3 years, so a decision on a refund can be revisited.
- Server request records, short lived, held by our hosting provider under its own retention.
- Cart and saved items, until you clear your own browser. We hold no copy.
Security
- The whole site is served over encrypted connections.
- Paid files are held in private storage and released only against a real purchase. They are never on a public link.
- Download links are single use and expire in 30 minutes, so a leaked link is not a permanent hole.
- Access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to run support and accounting.
- We never store full card numbers. Payment details go to the payment provider, not to us.
No system is perfectly secure. If something does go wrong in a way that affects you, we will tell you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to a particular use. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.
Two honest limits. We cannot delete an order record that we are required to keep for financial and audit reasons until that period has run, though we can remove the personal details attached to it where possible. And if you ask us to delete your purchase records, you lose the ability to redownload what you bought and to claim a refund on it, so we will confirm that with you first.
If you hold a Payxem account, you can close it yourself from the app. The steps, the grace period and what happens to your data afterwards are set out in the Payxem privacy policy.
Children
payxem.shop is for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live if that is higher, to buy here. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it and close the account. If you think a child has given us their information, write to [email protected].
Where your data is processed
We serve buyers and sellers across the UAE, the Gulf, South Asia, Africa and beyond, and our hosting and payment partners operate globally. Your data may be processed in more than one country, including the United States and the European Union, wherever those partners run their infrastructure.
We choose established providers and rely on the safeguards they publish for those transfers.
Changes
We will update this page as the marketplace grows, and buyer sign in and checkout will both add detail here. The date at the top always shows the current version. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so rather than quietly reissue the page.
